Lute FP So they're classic, but I suspect they came of age listening to Santana cuz oh, that guitar tone... Santana's debut album comes to mind, without the Latin influences.

This is real good early progressive hard rock, with emphasis on that fucking awesome guitar.

Cement is from the island of Gotland, 200 miles east of Sweden's mainland. Cement was formed during the autumn of 1973 by two guitar players (Björn Jonsson and Anders Åström) and two drummers (Ulf Abrahamsson and Thomas Harlevi). They recorded Utmaningen in 1977 and released it in a limited run of 100 cassette tapes.

Well, this is pretty killer, but with members of Sienna Root and Witchcraft, how could it not be? And while I was not previously familiar with the vocalist, he is top notch. This comes across as a fusion of Santana, Graveyard, and Brandt Bjork. Pure classic hard rock, updated with a bit of desert rock. The sublime song structures manage to sound smooth and frantic at the same time. What a great sound. Lute FP
